Our partner group, Animal Care in Egypt (ACE), treated over 2,000 working equines during July. This included horses and donkeys with various medical issues - such as colic and lameness - along with 53 animals admitted to their hospital for more intensive care.

In Bangalore, India, Compassion Unlimited Plus Action (CUPA), supported by Animal Aid Abroad, is caring for more than 120 rescued working animals at their sanctuary. With your support, four more animals were rescued this quarter, including two ponies from an abusive situation and a mare with her foal following a severe accident.

In June, Namigni Animal Sanctuary, supported by Animal Aid Abroad, extended its outreach into isolated rural regions of Cundinamarca, Colombia. Despite challenging conditions, 34 horses and mules received vital veterinary care, marking an important step in improving welfare for working equids in underserved communities.

In June, the Camel Rescue Centre (CRC) in Bassi, India, supported by Animal Aid Abroad, treated 310 camels and provided veterinary care for 403 other animals including horses, goats, dogs, cows and sheep. Their work is transforming suffering into relief and dignity for working animals across the region.

At the Hope Complex in Israel, Starting Over, supported by Animal Aid Abroad, is caring for 61 rescued donkeys. In June, three jennies gave birth to healthy foals, marking a joyful milestone in the sanctuary’s mission to provide safety, rehabilitation, and dignity for animals once neglected or abused.

In June, Blind Love, supported by Animal Aid Abroad, provided veterinary care for 76 horses and 18 donkeys through outreach clinics and intensive rehabilitation at their Care Stations. Their work is transforming suffering into compassion and dignity for working animals across South Africa.

In Jaipur, India, Help in Suffering (HIS), supported by Animal Aid Abroad, provided veterinary treatment for 31 working equines and continued caring for 12 rescued animals at their sanctuary. Their work is transforming pain and suffering into relief, comfort, and dignity for animals who have endured hardship.

In June, Friendicoes, supported by Animal Aid Abroad, organised a mule treatment camp in Kedarnath, India, where 2,156 working animals received veterinary care. Alongside treatment, mule owners were educated on proper care practices, ensuring long‑term improvements in welfare for these hardworking animals.

Animal Aid Abroad and LAZAWO rescued two donkeys in Tanzania during June, bringing the sanctuary’s residents to 20. Supporters make this work possible, ensuring donkeys receive veterinary care, safe shelter, and dignity.

In Dukuchhap, Nepal, Animal Nepal, supported by Animal Aid Abroad, provides lifelong sanctuary care for rescued working animals while advancing education and advocacy to improve welfare standards nationwide. Their work combines compassionate treatment with awareness‑raising, creating lasting change for animals across the country.
