With assistance from your kind donations, Help in Suffering (HIS) in India recently provided comprehensive veterinary treatments for 31 working equines in need. They are also currently caring for 12 rescued equines within their sanctuary.

Six equines were treated at the HIS campus during the last quarter. Cases included lameness, an eye issue, loss of appetite, colic and dehydration.

Each animal was also given a deworming tablet and tetanus injection following their treatment.

shelter update

HIS’s shelter at the Camel Rescue Centre (CRC) in Bassi currently houses 12 rescued animals, including 10 donkeys, a stallion and one mule.

Six equines were also treated at CRC’s outpatient department during the past quarter.

This mare was treated with intravenous fluid therapy and antispasmodic medication to relieve pain and support recovery. 

monthly outreach camp

Nineteen working equines were treated during HIS’s monthly outreach camp.

An owner from Mohanpura visited the camp to determine if his mare was pregnant.
