Our partner group Lilongwe Society for the Protection and Care of Animals (LSPCA) assisted 103 working donkeys during April. Their interventions focused on treating and preventing workload-related stress and injuries, improving shelter hygiene, correct harnessing techniques and other owner education to improve donkey welfare long-term.

We are excited to welcome Maun Animal Welfare Society (MAWS) to the AAA family of partner groups this month. 

MAWS will be delivering a mobile outreach program funded by AAA. The program will provide essential veterinary care and welfare support to working equines in remote villages across Ngamiland, Botswana.

AAA and Starting Over sanctuary in Israel cared for 67 donkeys and two mules in March, providing veterinary care, rehabilitation, and dignity for rescued animals.

AAA and Blind Love treated 134 horses and 68 donkeys in South Africa, providing veterinary care, humane equipment, and sanctuary for rescued animals.

AAA and HIS treated 22 equines and cared for 12 rescued animals in India, providing veterinary care, sanctuary, and dignity for working horses and donkeys.

AAA and ZWDP treated 321 donkeys in Zambia, provided humane harnesses, and rescued animals, working toward a future of compassion for all donkeys.

AAA and Friendicoes treated 930 equines in India, rescued four animals, and distributed 200 soft keens to improve welfare for working donkeys and horses.

AAA and WRRC rescue elephants in India, providing sanctuary, veterinary care, thermal imaging, and enrichment to restore dignity and wellbeing.

AAA and AAU care for rescued donkeys in Udaipur, India, providing sanctuary, veterinary treatment, and joy for animals once abandoned or injured.

AAA and APOWA treated 106 working animals, vaccinated 447, and educated owners in India, creating long‑term welfare improvements through local partnerships.
