Celebrating Donkeys on World Donkey Day & Remembering our colleague Mollel
On May 8th, Animal Aid Abroad (AAA) joined forces with our partner Lake Zone Animal Welfare Organization (LAZAWO) to celebrate World Donkey Day in Geita, Tanzania.
a special sanctuary where donkeys can heal & recover from former harsh lives
At Starting Over’s sanctuary in Israel, former working donkeys are given another chance at life. Many have been rescued from abuse and neglect, so are suffering from complex physical and mental conditions. Sixty-nine donkeys are currently receiving intensive care and treatment at the sanctuary to support their recovery from past harsh lives. Two even gave birth to baby foals!
