Our partner group, Blue Cross India (BCI), rescues working animals who have been neglected or abandoned. Thanks to your generosity, we are commencing a new program with them to run a mobile veterinary clinic. This will address the many injuries and illnesses faced by working bullocks, horses and cows.

This project will improve the welfare of animals working in the sugarcane industry in the Anakapalle district of Andhra Pradesh.

Bringing Relief & Hope to Equines Working on India’s Streets
Our incredible partner group, Friendicoes, treated no less than 870 equines during February. With your support, they are alleviating suffering and providing hope for animals working in harsh conditions on the streets of India. In addition, they rescued four more equines in need last month.

In the past two months, Namigni Animal Sanctuary rescued a blind baby foal from euthanasia and a donkey who had been abandoned on the streets. They are also continuing to provide loving care for 22 rescued equines at their sanctuary in Colombia.

Community Care Stations Enhance Wellbeing for Working Equines in South Africa
In South Africa, our partner group, Blind Love, provided 141 working horses and 64 donkeys with essential veterinary care during February. They also opened a community care station for cart horses in Thaba ‘Nchu. These stations offer follow-up treatments and welfare checks for working equines.
