Care Provided for Over 700 Working Camels
Help in Suffering’s Camel Rescue Centre (CRC) treated an incredible 734 working camels for various ailments throughout June. They also fitted 10 camel carts with reflectors, which prevent road accidents.

Donkey Welfare in Malawi Improving with Vet Care and Education
One of our African partner groups, the Lilongwe Society for the Protection and Care of Animals (LSPCA), treated 227 working donkeys in the past month. They also focused on educating owners to improve animal welfare, and preventing wounds caused by improper harnessing.

Elephants Given a Second Chance at Our Newest Partner Sanctuary
AAA’s newest partner group is the Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre (WRRC) in Kolar, India. They rehabilitate captive elephants who have endured years of harsh treatment and poor conditions. Many of the elephants have multiple health issues due to past neglect and abuse, so they require intensive care and treatment.
With assistance from your incredible donations, we are now able to support WRRC in their mission to enhance the health, wellbeing and quality of life for these elephants. Read on to learn more about captive elephants in India and the rescued elephants now living in WRRC’s sanctuary:
Friendships Blossom in Nepalese Sanctuary
Due to your heartfelt donations, we are able to continue supporting Animal Nepal’s wonderful sanctuary. The rescued animals here have finally found safety and peace, and are able to form special friendships with other residents.

AAA Funds Emergency Tetanus Vaccinations for At-Risk Donkeys
Our partner group, Lake Zone Animal Welfare Organization (LAZAWO), recently identified an outbreak of deadly tetanus in donkeys working in several mining areas of Tanzania. With your stellar support, we were able to act quickly and send funding for an emergency tetanus vaccination program.

Meet Seven New Residents at Starting Over’s Sanctuary
With assistance from your fantastic donations, 43 rescued donkeys are currently being cared for at Starting Over’s sanctuary in Israel.
Some of the sanctuary’s newest residents include Carambola, Liat and her daughter Robin, Metallica, Noel, Shebakia and Yennefer.
Donkeys in Tanzania Receive Life-Saving Care
Throughout June, our partner group Lake Zone Animal Welfare Organization (LAZAWO) have been hard at work assisting donkeys in the Geita region of Tanzania. They saw no less than 586 working donkeys and treated them for a variety of conditions.
LAZAWO also focused on educating donkey owners on humane handling and equipment, appropriate feeding and basic preventative health measures for their working animals.

Creating a More Compassionate World for Working Camels
The Camel Rescue Centre (CRC) - run by Help in Suffering - is one of our partner groups in India focused on assisting working camels. Thanks to your kind support, they helped no less than 446 camels during May.

Gigantón’s Journey: From Abandonment to Hope
On May 19, a large senior dog named Gigantón was found tied near the doors of Samaha’s Garden - an animal rescue centre in Turkey. At approximately 10 years old, he had spent his life as a livestock guardian until he became too old to serve and, like many others before him, was discarded.
