Mares Find Relief from Pain and Discomfort
During the last quarter, Help in Suffering’s (HIS) dedicated equine vets assisted many mares who all required urgent treatment. Some of the cases are highlighted below:
This mare was brought to HIS with colic pain and an inability to urinate. After treatment, her condition improved and she experienced significant relief from pain and a return of normal urination.
Another mare also presented with an inability to urinate. Following treatment, normal urination returned. The mare showed marked improvement and the owner was very satisfied with the outcome.
This mare had colic and was brought in by her concerned owner. Following diagnosis and appropriate treatment, the mare began to improve. The team educated her owner on proper feeding and deworming practices.
Yet another mare presented with colic and dehydration at the HIS campus. She received intravenous fluids and pain medication. The owner was educated on correct feeding and keeping his mare properly dehydrated.
An owner named Kailash brought his three mares in for veterinary treatment. All the mares were diagnosed with diarrhoea, so fluid therapy and antibiotics were administered. The mares showed improvement and the owner was very happy with the outcome.
An owner from Mohanpura brought his four mares in for deworming treatment.
HIS’s shelter in Bassi currently houses eight donkeys, one stallion and one mule. They were all recently dewormed and the hooves of all the donkeys were trimmed.
Help in Suffering sent their immense gratitude to AAA for allowing them to continue providing essential veterinary treatment for working equines. It is only because of your wonderful support and donations that we are able to help improve the lives of these beautiful animals.
