It’s wonderful to see how far these boys have come thanks to their kind supporters - Animal Aid Abroad and Red Parka.
Mamba and Rainbow continue to thrive in their new chapter at Stud Horse Riding & Rescue, and we’re so pleased to share that both ponies remain happy and healthy.
Despite the wet weather recently, it certainly hasn’t dampened their spirits. In fact, they seem to quite enjoy it! Both boys happily stand for showers and are more than content to head out for walks in the rain — retirement clearly hasn’t made them any less adventurous.
Mamba is still the gentle, quiet soul we know and love. He never says no to a good groom, keeps a close eye out for the carrot bag, and continues to enjoy playful moments in the paddock (even if that occasionally results in the odd scrape from his enthusiastic antics). Beach walks and sandy rolls remain high on his list of favourite activities.
Rainbow is also making steady progress. While trust-building remains our focus, he is slowly becoming more confident. Catching him can still take patience, but he’s allowing us closer contact and is growing more comfortable with his routine. He enjoys his carrots as much as ever and is gradually relaxing into his daily grooms.
We are incredibly proud of how both ponies have settled into their well-earned retirement. They are safe, cared for, and clearly enjoying this slower, happier pace of life.
Thank you for helping to transform their lives through your compassionate, ongoing support.
