Animal Nepal Dukuchhap donkey sanctuary monthly report - January 2022

During January, the Animal Nepal Dukuchhap donkey sanctuary welcomed 4 new members – 2 donkeys and 2 ducks. The donkeys are named Pooja and Jasmine and belonged to an elderly expat couple Robin and Wendy, who are no longer able to take care of them. We are keeping Pooja and Jasmine separate from the rest of the donkeys for now, and will integrate them into the herd gradually. Our donkeys were very excited and intrigued when they first saw Pooja and Jasmine and as donkeys are much friendlier than mules or horses, we are confident that they will be more than happy to accept Pooja and Jasmine.

All of our other animals are doing well, with *fingers crossed* no health issues.

We would like to express our sincerest gratitude to Animal Aid Abroad for their continued financial support in the running and maintenance of the sanctuary for our rescued equines in Dukuchhap.
