Joy and Loss at Starting Over's Sanctuary for Rescued Donkeys
Starting Over are our hard-working partner group in Israel. They are dedicated to rescuing donkeys from horrendous situations, including donkeys from Gaza’s war zones. They currently have 47 rescued donkeys living in their intensive care unit - the Hope Compound.
Your wonderful support and donations are going a long way towards helping these donkeys recover from injuries, abuse, neglect and trauma.
Rescued Bulls, Horses and Buffaloes Flourishing at Indian Shelter
The Visakha Society for Protection and Care of Animals (VSPCA) in India have been progressing and growing in a way that has been transformative for the animals at their shelters.
With your kind donations, they have made tremendous strides over the past few months by continuously improving care for the rescued animals and thus helping them recover.

Horses and Bullocks Benefit from Free Vet Care and Owner Education
Our partner group in India, Action for Protection of Wild Animals (APOWA), reached 98 working horses and bullocks in February.
Through their mobile vet clinic, they provided general health check-ups for working animals and treated a variety of illnesses and injuries. Thanks to your donations, APOWA can provide this service free of charge for animal owners who cannot afford veterinary care and don’t usually have access to these services.

One Sad Goodbye but Five More Donkeys Saved

Animal Nepal's Sanctuary Residents Receive the Best Care Possible
As February comes to a close, Animal Nepal are happy to share some positive updates from their sanctuary.
Their beloved donkey, Moni, has now made a full recovery following her suspected blood protozoan infection.
Last month, all equine residents received their annual Anti-Rabies (ARV) and Tetanus Toxoid (TT) vaccines, along with deworming, to ensure they remain healthy and protected.

Vet Care and Humane Equipment Changing Working Animals' Lives
Blindlove, our partner group in South Africa, aim to improve the welfare of working donkeys in Grahamstown and working horses in Thaba’Nchu.
At their outreach clinics, all animals are checked for parasites (worms, ticks and flies), plus have any injuries or wounds cleaned and treated.
Their team also checks, adjusts and replaces any ill-fitting or worn-out harnesses, since these are responsible for causing many wounds.

New Camel Sanctuary in India Continues to Thrive
Our wonderful AAA donors have been fundamental in establishing a much-needed camel sanctuary in Shaitrawa, Jodhpur.
The sanctuary staff have achieved multiple goals in the past three months, including constructing a new water trough, rescuing a camel named Sultan, welcoming a new baby called Baghira and treating 20 camels for various health issues. A group of intrepid AAA travellers also visited the sanctuary to see the amazing progress firsthand!
