Currently, donkeys in Gaza are some of the animals in most desperate need on the planet. Thanks to your support, our partner group Starting Over in Israel can continue to rescue these donkeys. They are helping many traumatised donkeys recover from their ordeals, allowing them to start afresh and receive all the love and care they deserve.

In Zambia, our partner group Zambezi Working Donkey Project (ZWDP) saw 240 working donkeys during January. They also rescued three more donkeys in need. With your wonderful support, Lake Zone Animal Welfare Organization (LAZAWO) conducted a special two-day mobile veterinary clinic for working donkeys in January. The clinic was held in the small gold mining towns of Nyaruyeye, Nyarugusu and Mugusu in Geita, where 602 donkeys were seen and treated.

Help in Suffering’s Camel Rescue Centre (CRC) had a busy start to the year, including two serious cases that fortunately had positive outcomes. Please read on to learn more and see how your support benefited many camels and other animals in January.

January was a month of care, learning, and meaningful connections at Animal Nepal’s Dukuchhap Sanctuary.

Due to your compassionate support, Action for Protection of Wild Animals (APOWA) in India were able to assist many working animals in January.

Their mobile veterinary team reached 101 horses and oxen.

Nowzad undertook two major rescues during January. One was a very sick dairy cow who needed emergency surgery and the other was an abandoned donkey who had been attacked by dogs.
