Blind Love continues its mission to create a better world for animals, one outreach at a time. This month, their dedicated team held several outreaches in the heart of town, offering care and compassion to 75 horses in need. Some of these wonderful horses, named Nice, Hunter, Trouble, and Beyoncé! were treated for internal parasites, minor injuries, and saddle sores.

On 9th September, the Blind Love team, alongside Dr Annie, visited Grahamstown for a follow-up with Lady, a donkey who suffered from severe abscesses. Over the month she has been healing very well! They also treated another donkey suffering from a severe case of mange and asked the owner to bring it for a follow-up at their next outreach.

In October, ZWDP treated 111 donkeys from the field and 16 at their sanctuary, making incredible strides in their mission to support our fuzzy long eared friends. From internal and external parasite control to treatments for tick-borne diseases and fly-bite dermatitis, the ZWDP team worked to ensure every donkey received much needed care.

At the HIS campus this month, the team attended to 17 cases, providing care for a variety of animals in need.  The most common ailments we treated included wounds, colic, pyometra, eye infections, tumors, lameness, anorexia/general weakness, accidental injuries and pregnancy diagnoses in different species, such as donkeys, ponies...

The LAZAWO team recently conducted a remarkable clinic in Bugwema Village, making a massive impact on the health and welfare of local donkeys. Over the course of the clinic, an impressive 253 donkeys received treatment for a variety of conditions, including wounds, trypanosomiasis...

In VSPCA’s 2nd Quarterly update, both shelters were able to provide a safe home for a group of abused buffalo and horses. These animals had endured unimaginable suffering before being rescued by the dedicated team at VSPCA. Now, they are thriving in their new homes, surrounded by love and care...

Sharon and her amazing team at Starting Over are working around the clock to rescue, care for, and rehabilitate donkeys and horses from Gaza. It’s tough seeing the animals come in with so many injuries and wounds, but we know Sharon and her team are giving them all the kindness and support they need.

Over the past month, APOWA and their dedicated mobile clinic has reached an impressive 101 animals, including horses and oxen—providing them with essential healthcare services that directly benefit both the animals and their owners.

What a beautiful spring day it was in Perth on Sunday, 14th September, as we celebrated the exciting closing function of Animal Aid Abroad's 2024 Inaugural Art for Animals Auction! Our amazing AAA volunteers did a fabulous job displaying over 150 stunning pieces of art, ranging from photography to painting, pottery, metalwork, and quilting. Along with enthusiastic online bidding, a lovely crowd gathered to view the works and place their final bids. It was such an incredible atmosphere!
