On 9th September, the Blind Love team, alongside Dr Annie, visited Grahamstown for a follow-up with Lady, a donkey who suffered from severe abscesses. Over the month she has been healing very well! They also treated another donkey suffering from a severe case of mange and asked the owner to bring it for a follow-up at their next outreach.

In October, ZWDP treated 111 donkeys from the field and 16 at their sanctuary, making incredible strides in their mission to support our fuzzy long eared friends. From internal and external parasite control to treatments for tick-borne diseases and fly-bite dermatitis, the ZWDP team worked to ensure every donkey received much needed care.

At the HIS campus this month, the team attended to 17 cases, providing care for a variety of animals in need.  The most common ailments we treated included wounds, colic, pyometra, eye infections, tumors, lameness, anorexia/general weakness, accidental injuries and pregnancy diagnoses in different species, such as donkeys, ponies...

Over the past month, APOWA and their dedicated mobile clinic has reached an impressive 101 animals, including horses and oxen—providing them with essential healthcare services that directly benefit both the animals and their owners.

What a beautiful spring day it was in Perth on Sunday, 14th September, as we celebrated the exciting closing function of Animal Aid Abroad's 2024 Inaugural Art for Animals Auction! Our amazing AAA volunteers did a fabulous job displaying over 150 stunning pieces of art, ranging from photography to painting, pottery, metalwork, and quilting. Along with enthusiastic online bidding, a lovely crowd gathered to view the works and place their final bids. It was such an incredible atmosphere!
