Kurdistan Organisation for Animal Rights Protection (KOARP) September 2022 Update

Dr Sulaiman and the Kurdistan Organisation for Animal Rights Protection (KOARP) team had a busy September with World Animals Day and World Rabies Day being a great way to raise awareness in the community for animal welfare.

During September, KOARP treated a total of over 1411 animals including donkeys, mules, horses, dogs, sheep, goats and cattle. Many were treated for diseases and injuries, fleas and deworming, as well as some hoof/farrier treatments. 22 nasal protectors were supplied, and the outreach program covered 14 villages, benefitting approximately 66 community members.
