Help in Suffering (HIS) equine update, June edition
The HIS team have been busy providing veterinary care for cases of fracture, proud flesh, colic, respiratory problems, incise wounds, chronic wounds, lameness, etc. Currently at the shelter, there are 9 donkeys, 1 mule and 1 colt. All shelter equines are healthy and one of the females donkeys gave birth to a foal named Mariam during June.
While the team generally treat many more camels and other types of animals than equines, the equines hold a special place in the hearts of the HIS team.
