Injured camel hit by owner

Recently the team at the Camel Rescue Centre in Bassi were conducting treatments in the village of Luniawas, when they encountered a camel that was injured by it's owner.

The camel had tried to bite it's owner and while the owner was able to dodge it the first time, the second time, he hit the camel with a stick which caused an injury to the camel's eye.

Dr Jitendar cleaned the wound and administered antibiotics and painkillers.

With three days of treatment, the camel is recovered well.

During the month the total number of animals treated by the team was 749.
