Tanzania Humane Charity (TAHUCHA) Educating children

Recently, the TAHUCHA team were able to conduct a full day education session with 66 at-risk or vulnerable children who attend a local school run by nuns.

The day was a great success with the children very engaged and fascinated by the donkeys. The children learnt how the TAHUCHA team work with the animals, learnt about the donkeys themselves, and how to humanely care for them and work with them.

It was a more comprehensive session than the usual community education sessions, which really gave the children a chance to immerse themselves and bond with the donkeys, solidifying their commitment to the proper care of animals, a step towards generational change in the attitudes towards working animals in the area.
