Help in Suffering (HIS) equine update, India

AAA partner group, HIS have sent us an update on their latest activity.

“Winter and the wedding season are analogous to equine health problems. To add to this it has been quite difficult for the equines to get sufficient exercise due to the pandemic. As a result, our vets have treated several cases of digestive problems, colic, respiratory problems, anaemia, and diarrhoea etc. Our team treated seven equines with complaints of colic, two diarrhoea cases, three of impaction, one each of disponea and nasal discharge. A mare that was brought to us with a femur fracture had to be put down as recommended by our veterinary team. We also had examined three horses with blood parasite complaints.

Thank you for your support of the medical treatment of the equines in our area. The number of patients we get may not be significant when compared to the number of felines, canines and camels we treat, but all the animals we treat are deserving of love and care.”
