New sanctuary up and running in Israel

AAA partner group Pegasus in Israel have sent an update on the move to their new sanctuary:

"We can finally say that Pegasus has successfully moved to our new location! The process was a difficult one but worth it in the end. Thankfully, all of our resident donkeys and horses are now settling into their new areas.
It was a very difficult process to uproot most of the animals as the old sanctuary had been their home for so many years. But when they stepped their hooves into the fresh new dirt and saw the beautiful view of their spacious surroundings, all the animals got very excited! They started to explore the wide-open area, frequently running over to the fence to catch another glimpse of distant fields and groves.
Our sweet rescue Eitan, however, could not see what the others saw. He is completely blind and has been with us at the sanctuary, after being saved from the hands of abuse. He was found down south wandering near a very busy highway, desperately searching for food and water - which he simply could not see. Luckily, caring people were able to pull Eitan to safety and we brought him to his forever home here at Pegasus.
Our new sanctuary is perfect for our rescues with special needs. Donkeys and horses like Eitan have plenty of room to socialise and live comfortably, taking in the constant breeze and beautiful view of the nature around them, whether they’re seeing it or sensing it.
