Walk a Mile in My Shoes Challenge
Help Animal Aid Abroad celebrate 10 years of helping working animals around the world and launch of Global Working Animal Day by taking part in our Walk a Mile in My Shoes Challenge on Sunday August 20th to enable us to help abused, sick and suffering working animals in desperate need.
The idea is simple, how you take part is up to you!
You could walk or run and you only need to give us one hour of your time. The catch, you need to carry 1 up to 20 kg in weight for the challenge.
For those who cannot carry any weights, you can also join in, but you need to complete an hour walk or run on Sunday 20th August.
You can either do the challenge solo or with friends- wherever you are located in the world you can participate. In Perth, Western Australia, people can join us on Sunday 20th August at Sculpture Park in Mundaring for an hour walk in the beautiful bush land ending at The Habits of Horses Arts Festival. At the festival there will be an AAA stall and special launch event for Global Working Animal Day.
We have given you this challenge so you can experience what working animals endure on a daily basis on the streets and in the mines and brick kilns the world over.
You can join wherever you are around the globe for this very special event for Animal Aid Abroad and the working animals in desperate need of our help.
Registration is only $20. After you complete your walk or run you will receive a special certificate and acknowledgement on our website and Facebook page.
The money we raise will help us to treat abused, sick and suffering working animals - that is reward enough!
Please Note: Animal Aid Abroad cannot provide insurance for your walk or run. Your participation in this event is taken at your own risk and you accept all responsibility. No claim can be brought against Animal Aid Abroad by participating in this event. By registering, you accept the terms of this liability disclaimer.
