Global Working Animal Day

Sunday 20 August 2017

Global Working Animal Day is being launched on August 20th alongside our Walk A Mile In My Shoes challenge to celebrate 10 years of effort and dedication Animal Aid Abroad has given to working animals all over the world. More importantly this campaign launch is being used to highlight the ongoing welfare issues that surround the working animals around the world. The necessary aid these animals require and the essential education that needs to be given to their handlers. Help us make this day a reality by sharing our story and purpose with friends and family and on social media like Facebook and Instagram. Let us speak for the suffering and work towards our goal of raising $100,000 for all our projects. Help us make a difference. Help us mark August 20th as the day we recognise the working animals around the globe.

Animal Aid Abroad is celebrating 10 years of helping working animals around the world by launching Global Working Animal Day. Help us celebrate by taking part in our "Walk a Mile in My Shoes" Challenge on Sunday August 20th as a way to enable us to continue helping abused, sick and suffering working animals.

Would you know how it feels to carry a load greater than your own body weight? These working animals endure daily loads of bricks that surpass any amount anyone could carry. So we are putting this same challenge to you by asking you to walk or run a mile carrying a weight of 1kg to 20kg...the decision is up to you!

For those who do not wish to carry any type of weight, please still join us by walking a mile on Sunday August 20th. This is a family friendly event, so how you contribute to this challenge is completely up to you! If you are unable to be with us on August 20th you can still make a difference by donating.

Wherever you are in the world you can participate!! In Perth, Western Australia, people can join us on Sunday 20th August at Sculpture Park in Mundaring for an hour walk in the beautiful bush land, ending at The Habits of Horses Arts Festival. At the festival, there will be an AAA stall and special launch event for Global Working Animal Day. Click Here to get more information on this walk.

Our target is to have 1000 walkers to raise $100 each to reach a final goal of $100,000!! Can you help us get there?
